One Year Ago...

On April 8, 2008 a judge in Kemerovo, Russia granted the adoption of our sweet Sam. These photos were taken the next day when we left Baby Home #1 when Sam started his new life. He looks so small and sick. He had a fever which he kept for the remainder of our trip.
It was a very emotional day. Leaving the baby home with our son was surreal since we had left that same baby home just a few short years earlier with our daughter.
It was hard to believe that Sam was finally coming with us after 10 months of waiting for this moment. It was a moment that I will never forget.

Now look at my sweet happy healthy boy. He is so full of life. He is curious and affectionate. He definitely keeps me on my toes. I can't imagine my world without him.

These pictures were taken at Disney 2 weeks ago. He just loves life.

So this week I celebrate this precious addition to our big happy family.

Praise the Lord.

Congratulations Carrie & Scott. We are so happy that Sam is your son. He is a wonderful gift and I know that words often fail to express the gratitude for such a blessing.

Thinking of you.
