"Mama, I am all about trees!"

OK so a lot of you know that Scott and I have been accused of being tree huggers or as some like to call us greenie weanies - thank you C&JD, J&JB and R&GG. (And just so you know we were green before green was cool). Anyway in our town a large field with some beautiful large trees was being cleared for a new grocery store and strip mall. Now knowing this was coming I had been dreading the day I drove by and saw the "crime scene." Of course one day it happened and before I said anything my sweet environmental friendly child says, "Oh Mama, they cut down all the beautiful trees!"

I thought this was possibly a one time thing. However, the other day on the way to choir practice I pointed to a very bright orange tree, and Sophie told me she could find some beautiful trees too. Just a few seconds later she pointed to several yellow trees along the side of the road. I made some comment about how she was good at finding beautiful trees and her fabulous response was "Mama, I am all about trees!" I thought this was too cute. Plus I thought by telling this story I could post some pictures of Sophie playing in the yard and wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!!!
