I was so happy to tell her that he is not only using 2 word phrases but 3 word phrases. His favorite thing to say is, "Mama car coming." He said this the other day when we were leaving the gym and I made a big deal about it so now he says it all the time.
I was also happy to tell her that his attachment and bonding is going much better. Not that it was terrible in the beginning but we did have some difficult days. I told her that the other morning Sam hugged Sophie and said, "Hi Sossie" then he hugged Scott and said, "Hi Daddy" then he hugged me and said, "Hi Mama." I told her I think he is getting that we are his family - the people that belong together.
I told her about how much better his behavior is. Now don't get me wrong he still keeps me on my toes. He is just so sweet and loving and wild. He now is happy most of the day vs in tears most of the day. And we he is in tears he takes a deep breath and that pretty much helps him through it.
They were happy to tell me that he is now up to 30 pounds and 35 inches. That means he has gained 8 pounds and grown about 4 inches in just over 7 months.
Sam has grown so much in the 7 short months he has been home - physically and emotionally. He is just a joy and we adore him.

It sounds like Sam is growing and developing so well! He is getting so big, and it is wonderful that he is speaking so well! I know you are very pround of him. It sounds like he understands who his family is, too! Happy Thanksgiving! :)

I am so glad to hear that he is doing well....happy and healthy!! I hope that Sam has a wonderful Thanksgiving with his Big Happy Family!
hi carrie, so nice to read about Sam and his sweet nature. he sounds like connor and i hope they get to meet each other later. sophie is growing to be such a happy big sister. i was laughing when i read how hard it was for you to buy boy stuff. by the looks of it you got it covered pretty good. connor loves anything he can manipulate. balls are number one toys. he never gets tired of throwing them around. next are cars and trucks. i should get him those little people toys too. they seem like fun. but everytime i buy something now i end up buying blocks, besides cars and trucks. anyways, hope you had a nice Christmas and wishing you and everybody a Happy and Successful New Year!
