I did something really exciting today.

I went to Sophie's class and read. And she did not know I was coming. To illustrate for you how excited I have been about this I started thinking about activities I could do with the class. This would be when I realized I was not asked to teach the class only read to it. I guess old habits die hard.

I was instructed to go to the classroom and knock on the door. Sophie opened the door and when she saw me she smiled so big then walked away. I think she in shock.

I read two of our favorite books. "The Art Lesson" by Tomie dePaola and "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse" by Kevin Henkes. I have always loved reading aloud. It was one of my favorite things to do when I was teaching. I had so much fun today.
