We Are The Truth

As many of you have know there is a lot of stuff going on in the adoption community. There is no need to go into the story. We all are familiar with it.

As many bloggers are doing I would like to share our truth about how adoption has touched our lives.
In August 2004 we received this picture. This is my precious Sophie in the baby home in Novokuznetsk, Russia. Needless to say I was in love with this baby. She was mine. Sophie came home on December 7, 2004.
Never in my life had I been more sure of God's perfect timing and his answering of prayers. Sophie is my angel and she was meant to be with our family - forever.
Our adoption of Sophie was so wonderful that we decided to do it again. So in May 2007 we received a referral of a little boy in Novokuznetsk. We traveled to see him and I was smitten. I felt in the depths of my soul that I was his mother.
We had to wait many months before returning to Russia to bring Sam home. That was terribly hard but I told him I would be back. He was my child. So on April 15, 2008 Sam came home.
Adoption gave me 2 angels. I am forever in awe that they are mine. A friend of mine recently said (I am paraphrasing) that it is amazing the lengths God will go to to make us happy. And happy I am. I thank God every day for Sophie and Sam. I am thankful to Russia for allowing adoptions and especially thankful for 2 very special birth mothers for their most precious gift.
Our truth: 2 well-adjusted, smart, happy children + 2 grateful and happy parents =
Big Happy Family
