Stepping out of my comfort zone!

This past weekend Scott and I loaded the kids in the car and met many of our friends (6 other families) at a state park. We were going camping. If you know me in real life you know that this is a really big deal. I don't do outside very well and I certainly don't do dirt well. And sleeping in a tent. I can't even wrap my brain around that. Camping has never appealed to me in any way. But Sophie and Sam would love it. Plus I can't bear the thought of missing a social outing.

I would definitely be stepping out of my comfort zone by going on this trip.

I have to admit I had a great time. And I also have to admit that we stayed in a cabin.

The park had a sandy beach area on a large river and this kids played and played in the sand and in the very cold water. Then they went fishing and we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. My sweet babies had so much fun which in turn made it fun for me too. I actually enjoyed camping very much. The company was great. I am so thankful they invited us. We would have never attempted on our own.

I think we might buy a tent.
