Favorite Photo Friday, Books, Movies and Elves!

This picture was taken at Disney. I just love it. I think Sophie and Sam look so cute!!
I just finished this book last night. That's a good thing too because it was a book group selection and we meet tonight. We are also going to Skype with the author so I think all of our group made a bigger effort to finish this time. We are very excited to have an opportunity to talk with the author. She went to college with one of our members. We are also excited that our founding member (now living in another state) will be Skyping too!!
The book was really good. There are 2 more in the series. I am pretty sure at some point I will read them as well.

Eclipse goes on sale at midnight!!! All of us Twi-hards will now have 3 movies to get us through til the first part of Breaking Dawn comes out in November 2011. I have my first viewing party with friends tomorrow night!
I don't know if I mentioned this last Christmas but we introduced our kids to The Elf on the Shelf. I had heard so many great things about this little guy so I thought we should have one too. Sophie was afraid of him but toughed it out. This year is a different story. Snowflake (that's our elf's name) came 3 nights and it was just about all she could take. She wouldn't come in the room he was in, she did not want us to go near him, and she was having tummy aches. So we wrote him a nice note last night and sent him on his way. So much for that!!
Sam loved it but he was okay with him visiting another family!!

Poor Sophie. Kerry just got one for her kids and it totally creeps her out. I have a feeling you will see a blog posting about it soon.

Love the Disney picture!!

Hey Carrie! Your blog is so adorable. Sarah told me about the elf story so I clicked over to read and LAUGHED all over again. I've always thought the Elf on the Shelf to be particularly creeptacular. :) Glad I discovered your blog. Hope you have a happy Christmas!
