Our house is 30 years old. When we moved in we had a lot to do -mostly cosmetic. I've painted pretty much every room with a few exceptions.
My laundry room had been one of those exceptions.
It just had not been a priority because there was so much other stuff to do.
It was, however, driving me crazy!!
It was very inefficient. There were like 4 different types of shelves in there.
This lead me to the assumption that possibly 4 other families had lived in this house prior to us. It was always a MESS in there.
Here let me show you ~
The shelf above washer and dryer just did not serve me well. It was always messy and I wanted to hide that stuff. I originally wanted to purchase cabinets to install.
But later decided on a curtain (fabric from Hobby Lobby) to hide my junk.
Cute and significantly cheaper!!!
Everything under there is organized and labeled. Really I should not get so excited about this but I just can't help myself!! I want to put a smaller shelf above the dryer for the stuff I use daily. So still some more tweaking.
Onto the other side of the room... well I will just show you the pictures ~
Did you here the Psycho music?
Seriously no rhyme or reason to these shelves or my organizing of them. I purchased this shelf from Lowes. It totally met my needs.
Check it out!!
Neat and organized!!
Really I am just giddy!!
The paint color (Porter Paint - Indian Ivory) is not that different from the originally color but it is fresh and clean. I wanted to go with a shade of blue but decided to go with some left over paint from the kids' bathroom.
Well now that is pretty much complete I am on to my next project!
Our dark, dreary, and dated family room!!
Yep I am painting the paneling! Wish me luck!!!
