I am pretty sure I have mentioned that Scott and I 'belong' to a supper club. It was my friend Amanda's idea. She's smart like that!! We meet about every 8 weeks and different couples host. There are 7 couples total. We have had lots of themes - tapas, bar-b-q, soul food, Mardi Gras, potluck, and Italian. Usually the hosts decides on a theme, prepares the main course and drinks, and asks everyone else to bring sides, dessert, and appetizers.
Scott and I hosted in June. We chose a mediterranean theme. Scott was not sure we could pull it off. I had no doubts that it would be fabulous - My friends are fabulous cooks!!!
The girls - Jessie, Teresa, me, Amanda, and Joey
My table (almost ready for guests). Sorry for the blurry picture - not sure what happened!!
The group - Scott!!
Scott and I grilled Lebanese chicken kabobs, made couscous (from a box),
and I made a white wine sangria - I did not use the rum and I added peaches and strawberries. YUM-MO!!!
Not sure what the others would say, but Scott and I thought it went well!!
What were the children doing during all this?
Well let me tell you -
It is not uncommon for us to let Sophie and Sam stay up 'til everyone leaves. They consider this a treat and must agree to stay in the playroom. This works surprisingly well for us!! After our little shindig Scott and I went to get the kids and this is how we found them.
Not sure how long they had been asleep!!
