Random things that are swimming around in my head...

I actually said to my children at bedtime last night something to the effect of,

'Don't worry- we won't have another earthquake, aftershock, thunderstorm, or hurricane tonight. Now go to sleep!'

Seriously in one week we have experienced all those things!!

We were without power for about 2 days. I thought I would lose my mind.

I threatened to tackle our neighbor if he got out of his car with coffee one morning.

He didn't. But I sssoooo would have done it.

Some of my friends still don't have power. Crazy!!!

People can't drive when traffic lights are out.

We got Sophie's teacher assignment for the fast approaching school year.

I think she will have a great year. I am so glad she loves school.

An elderly lady in a restaurant commented about how beautiful Sam is.

I agree of course. But my heart wondered if his mother in Russia knows how beautiful he is.

Oh and how badly I wanted to say, 'Yeah he is and he's from Russia!!!'

Sophie said teenagers wear really short shorts. She then said they wear them too much.

That's my girl.

She also saw some of teachers and her principal from her school while out to dinner. She WOULD NOT go say hi. Too funny!! Like they are rock stars. I guess to her they are.

Sam thinks he can break dance. I caught him "dancing" in the kitchen.

Sophie and Sam asked me what Bieber Fever was. I told them if they had to ask they didn't have it and not to worry.

I said most family and friends no longer read my blog - not all of them!!!
