Award Winning Slacker

Ok so months ago my cousin Heather gave me this award. I did not do anything about it then because it was literally a day before we left for Russia to get Sam and me being the unorganized person that I am I just could not sit down and write a blog post that included so many links - just couldn't. So better late than never I suppose. If I look at your blog - you make my day - so this is hard - I am supposed to pick 5. So here goes ...

Oh wait a week or so ago I received another award from Abby at Three Ws in a Pod.

I somehow missed this until someone else told me about it. I am very sorry I missed it because she said some very nice things about me.

So now I am going to finally give my awards. However I am sure I am totally breaking blog award etiquette but I am going to lump them together because I am supposed to pick 5 for each and I just can't separate them at this point.

Here are the official rules the came with award #2. Award #1 had no rules:
You have to pick 5 blogs (or 10 in my case)that you think deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also for contributing to the blogging community, no matter what language.
Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given
her or him the award itself.
The award-winner and the one who has given the prize must show the link of the “Arte y Pico” blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

I am adding a rule - my award winners only have to pick 5. Have I confused you enough?

Voice of the Voiceless - The Horners adopted a little boy from Baby House #1 in Novokuznetsk and they also got "stuck" in the databank delay - just like us. I really enjoyed learning that one of their carry-on bags was a guitar - you know to play for the kids. And their videos make me cry such happy tears. Anyway they do a great job sharing their son Zac and I really like checking in on them.

Proof Positive - Adoptive mom and let's face it Katie is just funny!! This was the first blog that I starting following. She is such a pioneer.

One Lucky Mom - Another adoptive mom. I always like seeing what Kerry is up to with her 3 beautiful children. She always speaks from her heart.

My Life ... A Work in Progress - Cindy was our case worker and while we were waiting on Sophie her sweet Sara came home. We would not have made it through our adoptions without her. I love following her life as she balances going back to school and motherhood.

Bringing Nicholas Home - I somehow just stumbled upon this blog several months ago. Carla was so articulate about her feelings while waiting for her son to come home from Ekaterinburg. She was open and unafraid to express her true emotions. Now Nicholas is home and we can once again feel her emotion and love for her child.

The Beehive - Kelly Bee has got it together. She took 3 children to Europe for like 2 weeks. She throws in advice for which movies to see and of course how to travel with kids.

Clemsongirl and the Coach - Clemsongirl is just too funny. She tells about her daily life and makes it fun. Who else can get proposed to in the line at Wal-Mart?

The Belding Family - I always like to see what Amanda and her boys are up to. She has helped me understand this whole boy thing.

The Littlest Tsarina - Kim has just left for Russia to meet her little girl who lives in Baby House #1 in Novokuznetsk. I have enjoyed following her adoption story and her life with her 4 boys.

My sister Sarah - Sarah does not have a blog but I think she needs one. So hopefully she will read this and feel pressured to join us. She cracks me up. She can think of quick responses to pretty much anything and when she comments on my posts it always make me laugh. Surely the blogging community would appreciate having her along for the ride.

Thanks for making my day and for being really great blogs. I don't think I could get through a day without you. If I have not confused you enough pick which award you want and run with it.

Thanks from me, too. I just got to read the all boy comment - oh, my...the marks on the wall made my head fall off. I know your pain. Hang in there.

(Now I have to go to the doctor to get my head reattached. Tell Sam I said thanks a LOT.)

Thanks Carrie!!! I can't believe someone appreciates my "sappiness"!!! Btw, I have a real tear jerker for the end of August (the day I found Alex on the internet)...

My first award (no matter how undeserving:) Anyway thanks!! So do I pick which award I want to pass on? Sorry we had to take off so quickly today. Griffin had so many mini-meltdowns all afternoon but Gray slept most the day away.

Wow! I'm glad you read along with us. I have enjoyed reading along with you, too! Thank you for the award - it's my very first or my very first 2 half awards!

Good to know I have a few months to hang out in slackdom before I choose my favs :)
