On Wednesday afternoons Sophie attends children's choir at our church. This is an activity that she really enjoys plus we usually attend a fellowship dinner afterwards. However I had decided that we would skip dinner tonight. When I informed Sophie (right after school today) that we were not going she had a complete meltdown. Remember my girl likes to eat. I told my friend who was witnessing this incident I would hear it again later after choir practice. And I did. As we were walking out of the choir room I mentioned to another friend that we were not going to dinner. The sobbing started and continued all the way down the hall, to the car, and about half way home until she fell asleep.
Did I mention that tonight's practice was actually an informational meeting? So I had to go and so did Sam. Well as soon as the director put the pencils out for parents to use to fill out forms Sam picked it up, dropped it on the floor, and spilled all the pencils. I looked at the director and said, "I don't think I will be volunteering this year." She said she understood.
We went to our seats. Sam was standing in front of me and lost his balance. When he raised up his nose was bleeding. So I grabbed him and took him to the restroom and got him cleaned up.
The rest of the meeting was uneventful.
Upon returning home I sat down at the computer to post pictures of the kids' first days of school (look for that later) when I discovered my shirt is on backwards. Really what is up with the universe?

Girl, you SO need a long hot bath tonight! I've been there!
So funny...especially the part about your shirt. I know it would not have been funny at the time, but I am sure you will soon see the whole "diaster" as one funny mess! That's what I usually do after a rough day...just laugh! Hang in there! We all go through it!
I love it! Even if you were not laughing your story gave me a laugh! That's the ups and downs with little ones!
