To my sweet sweet Sam

You are such a joy!
You came into our lives with such a zest for life.
You are curious, funny, and loving.
You are a bundle of energy.
You love cars, trucks, and playing games.
You introduced me (a girly girl with 4 sisters) to dirt, fireballs, and fire trucks.
You yell score every time you throw something.
You brought a whole new dimension to our family.
We are better because of you!
Your sweet happy face makes the world brighter.
God blessed us again and I praise his Holy Name for it.
I send special thanks to your birthmother who chose adoption.
I hope she knows how much you are loved and how much happiness you have given us.
Happy 4th birthday my sweet boy!!!!

I'll just leave this message on Sam's posting but "Amen" to both. I was struck by "you make us better" because I just kept thinking the other night how I never really deeply understood the joy of giving until Olivia. As much as I thought about receiving her from God as a gift, I got a glimpse of the joy he must have had being the Giver. I tried to think of how I could begin giving gifts to others that really required me knowing them well enough to answer their needs and wants with perfect gifts. Not necessarily material things but attention, conversation, work and more. I think you understand this, to be so overwhelmed with thanks that it must be shared with others. Anyway, I think of your babies often and celebrate them too.

Thanks for your comment on my blog the about the nosebleeds. I had heard Vaseline and tried it in the past. I need to be more diligent with it!

Happy Birthday to your Sam! Your children are precious!
