Praise God!! We have a court date. On Tuesday, April 8th we head to court in Kemerovo - to the same court room where Sophie's adoption was granted.
10 months after we visited our sweet baby Sam we are finally going to get to go get him.
While we are thrilled to be returning to Russia to get our baby I am incredibly emotional about the whole thing. I know it will be wonderful and I look forward to getting to know the baby (who is now a toddler) that I first played with and loved on in June of last year. Those first days with him will be both challenging and exciting. Just thinking about it reminds me of those days with Sophie and I am completely overwhelmed with emotion. I cry just thinking about it.
However as excited as I am it will be so hard for me to leave Sophie for 2 whole weeks. She will be fine and Grammy and Pa can't wait to have her all to themselves. But I will miss her more than I can express.
Having said all this please keep us in your prayers. It is hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that this is finally happening. I will never know why we had to wait so long to bring Sam home but I am certain that this is all part of God's glorious plan. And now is the perfect time for Sam to join our family.

Praise the Lord!!! Sam will be home soon...I know you cannot wait!!! Sophie will be fine. She'll be better than fine, as she will be so spoiled and having a great time. I was far more distressed than Alex ever was when we traveled for Karoline. You, however, will be a mess, but it will be worth it!!!!! Big Hugs to you, Scott, and Sophie!!!
