Our wedding day eleven years ago. Last night Scott was being super sweet and I asked him if he was trying to get on my good side so I would say nice things about him on the blog.

I am not going to bore you with an ooey gooey story today -you get enough of those with adoption related posts.

I will say that I am glad I married a man who has held my hand through the darkest days and through the happiest. (These are not in order of importance)

I am glad I married a man who did not blink when receiving the news that biological children were not in our future.

I am glad I married a man who was excited right from the beginning about adoption.

I am glad I married a man who would fly to central Siberia to get our babies.

I am glad I married a man who did all the paperwork and just ask me to sign my name.

I am glad I married a man who proof read every paper for me when I was getting my master's degree.

I am glad I married a man who wants to go to church every Sunday.

I am glad I married a man who wants to coach soccer for our daughter.

I am glad I married a man who loves our children more than the air he breathes.

I am glad I married a man who stays calm when I feel like the world is falling apart around me.

I am glad I married a man who thanks me for being a good mom and for cooking dinner.

I glad I married a man who thinks it is great that my chosen profession was education.

I am glad I married a man who trusts me.

I am glad I married a man who likes Jimmy Buffet and listening to Tony Bennett.

I am glad I married a man who likes to watch romantic comedies with me.

I am glad I married a hopeless romantic.

I am glad I married Scott.

Through eleven years of ups and downs I am glad this is the man I married. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else.
