Addicted!

Hello, my name is Carrie and I am a blogaholic. I don't know how my blogging has gotten so out of hand. It all started with Katie. She started her blog during her adoption of Finley. I viewed her blog often but by no means felt that I had a problem. Next Keva started a blog to chronicle her adoption of Issac. Still viewing their blogs was just something that I did occasionally. However in October when I started my blog I thought things felt different. Then when Kerry and Cindy started blogs I was addicted. I checked them all the time. Before I knew it I was consistently checking other blogs of people I don't even know. I can't wait to see what is going on in their lives. What is wrong with me? I need help!! Who is Clemsongirl or Beehive or Ashley or countless others? I don't know but they entertain me. I suppose admitting I have a problem is the first step. I just don't know how long it will take me to overcome my addiction. Scott says only for a couple of more months. I guess he thinks when Sam gets home I will no longer have time to read blogs. I think Sophie is old enough to babysit. Don't you?

I haven't blogged myself, but I do understand the hook. I had a couple of friends who emailed me their links and I have been doing the same thing - checking their blogs and hoping that they have updated it or posted new photos recently. Glad to know I am not the only one! I really enjoyed tonight and getting to know you more - through Taboo and cocktails. -Julie

You don't have a problem! ;) (if you do, then I have to admit I do too...) I too religiously read blogs of people I don't even know. They're always similar to me (mom with little ones) so I think it's just my way of not feeling like I'm the only one that struggles sometimes. Tom thinks it's so weird, although he constantly checks football scores, which I don't understand at all.

It does get better. I am a former addict, but your husband is right it will subside. OR, it has for me anyway.

Any news on Sam? When are you supposed to be allowed to travel back? Praying for you.

Gee..what to say. I've been sucked into the blogging world as well. Therefore, I can not criticize nor recommend any self-help groups. If you want to see your addiction spiral out of control just add maploco. Then you can actually see where people are visiting you from. I click on it daily and always feel elated when I have a new location. Of course, I also get frustrated when my exotic locales disappear (Japan & Australia) within two days.

i can't believe it took two days before i saw this post! that caught me by surprise and cracked me up.

oh - and you'll have to keep reading to find out who the heck i am! (other than being a friend of a friend of katie's and a fellow survivor of russian adoption)

I am currently working on a twelve step program at Bloggers anonymous.

So, hear goes...Hi, my name is Kerry, I am a blogaholic.

My first step was to crash my computer. It worked for a few weeks, but I feel off the wagon. I'm now on the new computer. I cannot wait to update my blog (maybe tonight). I've been doing nothing but blog catch up for over an hour.

It's not looking good for my recovery.

Oh well, I am not alone.

Kerry:)

that is funny. I go in phases. I will check them all sometimes several times a day & then go several days without checking.
