Wintry Mix

We woke up late this morning. I really hoped school was canceled because of our light snow. Unfortunately it began snowing around 8am - too late to call off school. Sophie was thrilled to see the falling snowflakes. I considered keeping her home from school so she could play since in the south you never know if this is your only snow. Even though we have moved a little further north I think the rule still applies. I did let Sophie play in the snow for a few minutes while I got everything in the car. She was so happy.

Sophie did not stay happy for long though. By the time school was out the snow had melted and all we had was cold rain. She cried and cried for more snow. I told her we would just have to hope for another snow before spring.

She asked me if I had any magic words to make it snow. I told her no and she cried some more. So the only magic I had came in the form of hot chocolate with whipped cream and paper snowflakes which we used to decorate her playroom.

Carrie,

I just read your blog and it's wonderful. What a great way to relive life's memories! I was thrilled to see Dani's picture in the Teddy Bear Clinic section. I had Dani beside me and she screamed "That's Sophie-I love Sophie!" She was so excited to see her picture on the computer.
I'll have to keep up with it to find out everything that's going on.
See you soon at school.
Maureen
