She's on to me!

So the other morning I was sleeping peacefully in my bed when I heard, "Mama!" I looked at the clock - 5:30. So I thought maybe I'll just lay here and she'll go back to sleep.

6:15 - "Mama!" Ok, fine, I will get up and go lay down with her but there is no way I am getting up yet.

When I got in her room I told her it was still night time and we needed to go back to sleep. I have done this several times and it has always worked. However she is on to me.

After about 15 minutes she says, "I think you are making that up." I asked her what I was making up. She replied, "That it is still night time because I can see the sunshine coming in my windows."

Great!!!

I am amazed that she has fallen for it this long:) Griffin has been on to us for awhile. But we did just teach him to stay in his room until his clock says 7. HE doesn't like it, but it works most of the time. If he gets up before then, we go in and help him with what he needs and tell him to play quietly. Then we always hear, "It's 7" right on the dot.

It's a shame they have to be so smart! We try that on Kate too, but it seems she already has it figured out.

At least you'll be prepared for those bright early mornings when Sam comes home!:) Those toddlers love to get up with the chickens!!!

Hugs,
Kerry

That's funny! My Sophie just argues and says, "No Mama, it's morning-time now! Don't you see the sunshine?"

Your Sophie is darling & congrats on your upcoming adoption!

Thanks for your (or your husbands) comments on my blog. It seems we not only have our Sophie's in common- I used to be a teacher too!

Happy blogging!
Shana :)
