Sophie happily woke up this morning and greeted me with, "Happy St. Patrick's Day Mommy!" After coming downstairs she was saddened to discover that no leprechaun had come to our house.
I quickly came up with the excuse that they only come to schools because that's where more children are. Pretty good considering I could barely open my eyes and had yet to have my first cup of coffee.
I was hopeful that the leprechaun would in fact visit her school.
Forward to this afternoon -
Sophie gets off the bus disappointed. She informs me that leprechauns only visit kindergarten classrooms. This is as Sam is telling her all about the leprechaun that visited his preschool.
I quickly get the kids settled and run upstairs to add green food coloring to the toilet and mess up their rooms. I was once again quite proud of my quick thinking. A few hours later when the leprechaun's antics had been discovered guess who totally freaked out!!
