We have had a much better day. Sam woke up fever free and remained that way the rest of the day. His little nose seemed to run less also. He is still coughing quite a bit but seems much better overall. So we actually got out of the apartment today. We had lunch near the Kremlin and walked around Red Square. We met a couple of guys from Georgia (the state not the country!) - one of them was wearing an Auburn shirt. It is always good to see our SEC friends. They were here for a mission trip to an orphange somewhere north (I think) of Moscow. Anyway, I thought it was time I got around to posting a few pictures of our new family member, Samuel Benton.
Our first visit with Sam since last June. He was wearing a cute Charlie Brown shirt and super cute jeans trimmed with pink gingham from Target. He walked in a sat down to play with us like he had always known us. I told Scott that I was smitten.
This is Sam back at the apartment in Moscow. He loves these stacking cups. He started putting them on his feet. I thought this was funny and, hey, maybe he has some hidden carnival type talent. Who knows? We will support him in whatever he choses to do.
Sam on our "groovy" couch. This was taken tonight after we had eaten dinner at TGI Fridays. He ate some steak, chicken, bread, and French fries. Notice he is eating bread again. More about the couch later.
Still eating the bread.
I want to once again thank everyone for their prayers. I know they have been answered. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers as we head to the US Embassy (our last piece of official business) on Monday and on to Nashville on Tuesday. For those of you interested in meeting young Samuel first, we are arriving at 5:34 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, on United Flight 7149 from Washington - Dulles International. I think several people are coming to the airport so we will probably be there a while. Come out to see Sam if you can!!

He is so cute. He looks so different from the other pictures I had seen- such a big boy now. He looks like he is fitting in quite nicely with your family. Can't wait to see you guys- we have missed you!
one more thing...you go to Russia and eat at TGI Fridays? Come on:)
He is the cutest little boy!!! He and Sophie both look just like you guys. Absolutely adorable!!!
I had never seen Sam from your last visit, but what a cutie!! He looks so happy!
Oh my goodness HE IS SO DARLING!!! :)I hope you guys have a wonderful, easy trip home.
He's adorable and favors Sophie, so much. You are all very lucky.
I wanted to let you know I'm going to miss you all in Nashville. I'm working for Block again and since its the last day they have me working til close. I know you will have plenty of people there, but I hate it so much, Kai and I both were looking forward to seeing you! Give them both big kisses from all the Halbert's. Blessings,Courtney
May I please jump in here? Amanda - I will fully admit to you that I went to Russia four times in 2005 and 2006 and ended each one with MULTIPLE meals at THAT TGI Fridays. By the end of your trip, well, you just want something resembling American food. I offered to make out with the server when he brought me a cheeseburger but he turned me down. LOVE ME SOME TGIFRIDAYS - MOSCOW!!!
Okay, off my soapbox. Carrie, that child has stolen John's nose. Wait and see - we will compare at the airport.
Oh, and four of the five Cramers will be at the airport. Dustin won't be there, but the kids and I wouldn't/couldn't miss it. Now, as if you are THIS into seeing us, I want to give a disclaimer that J and F are both having outpatient surgery on Monday, so if something outrageous happens - that is the only way we will miss it. Otherwise, we are so there. Can't WAIT. Kiss that boy. Benton rocks as a middle name. Story?
...Beautiful Boy...kiss him for us...
He is just adorable! Glad to hear he is feeling better and that you are on the tail end of the trip. The American Embassy will be a breeze, that was by far the easiest part of this process.
And yeah, I would have gone to Friday's too. We ate at McD's twice. Towards the end of our trip we wanted something that resembled American food.
Can't wait to see you guys Tuesday. Wyatt, Sara, and myself will be there to greet you and welcome Sam home.
I echo sentiments from Katie. We ate at TGI and Hard Rock while in Moscow. After authentic dishes in the region I was lusting for some familiar food. Russia isn't exactly renowned for their cuisine. But, it's great if you're wanting to diet. ;)
What a little DOLL! We are so happy for you and can't wait to meet little Sam.

Hi guys! Terry and I have prayed for you guys for so long. It has been so wonderful to see that Samuel is finally in your arms. I know Sophie will be so glad to have her Mommy and Daddy home and to finally meet little brother. I know that you are so excited and we will all continue praying for your safe return....Love,Valerie
Bringing my crew to the airport too...wouldn't miss it!!!!
I am amazed at his resemblance to you all, but especially to Scott!
He is a beautiful baby, and I cannot wait to see him in person!!!
He's got an AMAZING little face. He's just adorable...and from the pictures, it looks like a little Scott! He looks so much more grown up than all the other pictures you've shown us. He looks like he's just so happy. I can't wait to see all four of you!! We're thinking of you all at the Embassy now (you're probably there right now). Warm wishes and prayers from Richmond for a safe and uneventful trip back to Nashville and Richmond. Miss you Tons!!! Kari
He looks absolutely perfect! Lana and I are tearing up as we read your blog updates. I know you can't wait to get your whole perfect family home!! Good things come to those who wait, right??? Will you be coming to Scott county so we can gush over how cute he is??? We would love to see you! I will call your Mom and see what your plans are! Congrats again!
Love, Lori
