Well we made it to Moscow. We have been here for several hours just hanging out at the airport waiting on our flight to Novokuznetsk. It departs at 10 tonight (Sunday) and because of the time change our 4 1/2 hour flight arrives around 7am (Monday). We will probably go freshen up and then to the baby home where we will see our baby after all this time we will see him face to face again. This is so exciting.
We are very tired and emotional (mostly me - I know you are not surprised). Please pray for us because we heard from our Russian coordinator today that court is going to be a little more challenging and longer this time around. This is due to the recent death of a child adopted from Russia. Sophie's hearing lasted about 30 minutes and we were told to expect it to last 3 hours this time. Remember our court is Tuesday but that is Monday night for you.
More to follow from Novokuznetsk...

Hi Carrie & Scott,
I will definitely be sending prayers your way Monday night. You guys will do great in court even though it may be more difficult this time around. Remember you are at an advantage because you have done this before. Your photos of Sophie will show how happy she is and what a blessing her adoption has been for you and her. Just speak from your heart and I'm sure everything will turn out well.
Lots of love,
Cindy
Yaaaay!!!! Glad you made it. Actually you are now on your way to Novo as it is 3:25 ET now.
Like Cindy posted, you have done a wonderful job with Sophie and that just speaks volumes.
I'm so excited for you! We were in court 4 yrs ago yesterday for our big boy. It was a tough judge, but in the end she ruled in our favor. You'll do great! I'll be praying for you.
hey girl. You guys will do great- you are almost with Sam and will have him with you guys forever. How cool is that? I hope you are getting some rest and just try to enjoy the experience. Do some people watching for me- that always seems to cheer me up when I am stressed out:)
We're so glad that you made it there safely. Good luck in court - and take lots of snacks! :-) Can't wait 'til you all get home!

Yay, I'm so glad you're sending us updates from Russia!! I'll be praying and thinking about you guys tomorrow when you finally get to see your little boy. I know you're going to do well in court - remember you have Sophie to show what good parents you are. Oh, and I got your message on Saturday and locked everything up...today I found that Peyton had somehow opened the lid on the cat food. I have no idea how much food he ate (a lot!)...little booger :)

You will be fine in court! As Cindy said, speak from your heart...we had court of 3 1/2 hours both times with our adoptions. The judges in our region are notoriously difficult!!! If we can survive them, you can do it too!:) We are praying for all to go well! Sam will be a Tennesean before you know it!!!
Hugs,
Kerry
You are in our prayers and our Sunday School's also! We are so happy for you and can't wait to see you on the 15th. All will go well with court and it will be a breeze for you. If you talk to Sophie tell her Kai says HI!
Love you all,
The Halbert's
Hey Carrie & Scott,
I'm so glad you're updating the blog. You're getting me hooked on blogging....this is my first time doing this! I know...I need to get with the program. I think you're on the plane to the region as I type. I'm praying for you right now. Everything will be fine. Definitely have your pics ready for the judge to see. Our judge (with Isaac) loved to see the pics of Noah and could see our love and how happy and healthy he is. They'll see the same with Sophie. Everybody's right to speak from the heart - they seem to really want to know what's in your heart. God's got everything under control...enjoy. Can't wait to see Sam!
love,
Amy
